General Info:

My reporting experience includes about 200 articles and photos published in newspapers, magazines and online. Those articles and pictures include news, opinion, features, entertainment, sports and technology reviews.


My editorial experience includes managing reporters and section editors, meeting print deadlines, filing FOIA letters, designing pages, making sure the editorial staff communicates effectively with the photo department, and I have experience editing photos.

I went to high school in Willits, Calif., then headed down south to get my degree in journalism in Los Angeles. I went to Cal. State Northridge where I received my degree with a minor in Religious Studies. While I was there I was the editor in chief of the Daily Sundial and Scene Magazine.

Organizations and Awards:

I am a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. I have received the Outstanding Editor Award from the Daily Sundial and multiple Dean’s List Awards from Cal. State Northridge. I have also volunteered through Rock Medicine (a medical outfit that helps the crowds at rock concerts) and Media Mentors (who help start and maintain newspapers at high schools).

Specific Experience:

In addition to writing for Scene Magazine and the Daily Sundial, I have also written for Mahalo, My 411 Family and various freelancing projects. My non-writing experience includes working at the occasional deli and working as a security guard at movie premiers and award shows in Hollywood.
